Our October 13 Another Look Zoom event for Dorothy Strachey<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s 1949 novel Olivia <\/em>was an international success \u2013 thanks to all of you! Another Look Director\u00a0Robert Pogue Harrison<\/strong><\/a> moderated the event; Stanford PhD candidate\u00a0Maria Florence Massucco<\/a><\/strong> and National Medal of Arts winner\u00a0Tobias Wolff<\/strong><\/a> rounded out the panel. Others joined the discussion virtually: we had questions from Stanford’s Terry Castle<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, who moderated the panel for our 2013 event on J.R. Ackerley<\/a><\/strong>‘s My Father and Myself<\/em> event and Hilton Obenzinger<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, who chaired the discussion of Anita Loos<\/a><\/span><\/strong>‘s Gentlemen Prefer Blondes<\/em> the same year. Also commenting virtually: Peter Stansky<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, who directs the Company of Authors <\/a><\/span>program, and who recently published \u00a0Leonard Woolf: Bloomsbury Socialist<\/em>\u00a0with Oxford University Press.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were joined not only by Another Look aficionados, but also members of the International. Virginia Woolf Society and the Virginia Woolf Society of Great Britain, as well as other Bloomsbury fans everywhere.

Book lovers around the world logged on for the event, with participants in Brazil, Switzerland, India, Singapore, Indonesia, France, and Malta. Altogether, 348 people registered for the event \u2013 a record!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
